I started my career as a frontend engineer, drawn to the intersection of design precision and technical problem-solving. Over the past decade, that focus has broadened considerably — I now think as much about system architecture, team dynamics, and business outcomes as I do about component structure.

What drives me is building software that works past the initial launch. I've seen too many products accumulate debt that makes every new feature harder and every team member less productive. I approach projects with a long-term lens — because the decisions made early largely determine how maintainable a codebase will be two years later.

Over the years I've worked across government platforms, enterprise SaaS products, complex mobile applications, and mission-critical workflow systems. I've led teams, owned architecture, shipped to production repeatedly, and helped organizations think more clearly about how they build software.

Build for maintainability

Code that can't be understood by the next engineer is code that creates business risk. Clarity and consistency matter more than cleverness.

Own outcomes, not tasks

I care about whether the product succeeds, not just whether the tickets are closed. Engineering is a means to an end — the end is business value.

Control complexity deliberately

Every abstraction and dependency has a cost that compounds over time. Add complexity only when the problem genuinely demands it.

Design for the user first

Technical decisions should serve the people using the product. Performance, accessibility, and reliability are not negotiable afterthoughts.

Clarity over cleverness

Simple solutions that the whole team understands outperform clever solutions that only the author can debug or modify safely.

Balance speed and quality

Moving fast with good judgment is not a contradiction. The goal is shipping software you can be proud of — and iterating on indefinitely.
